Russ,
The man you need to see is Bernie Morgan, who's the Golf Society Captain. He has a bar - Bernie's Bar - in HH bazaar, close to The Hilton. There are some restrictions on who can join - ie you must live here to benefit from the discounted green fees etc. He'll be able to fill you in.
Not sure of a ladies society, but they are more than welcome to play with the main society. Many do. |

Does anyone know if guests can play in the society.
I'm visiting HH with a view a permenent move there and as I play golf thought it would be a way meeting a few people and also get a feel for the golf scene.

Guests are most welcome to play with the Golf Society.
There is normally a fee of B300 to enter the competition against B100 for society members.
Green fees will normally be at the Society discounted rate depending on where they are playing. Other than by joining one of the golf clubs in Hua Hin it is probably the most budget friendly way to enjoy golf in Hua Hin.
Plus you get to meet a load of new golfers aswell. |

Thanks Ricardo,
I'm not in HH that long as I'm visiting various other places on this trip. Do you happen to know if there is a society game planned between 11-15th Feb. If there is I'll make myself known to Bernie on my arrival.
If there is I would bring my own shoes, gloves etc, but would like to hire some clubs as it wouldn't be practical to carry my own all round Thailand just for a couple of games. I also play round the wrong way. leftie!. Would this be a problem?

Gary,
Golf society plays every Tuesday and Friday, so you should get a game in.
I'm at work in India right now (actually skiving on HHAD) - so I don't know where they are playing this week. You could check in the Observer Hua Hins local newspaper, but Bernie will be able to tell you when you meet him.
Bernie should also know where to hire a set of leftie clubs. |
