From what I can gather his house was broken into yesterday, he woke up and the burglar knifed him to death. Pete

โจรบุกแทงฝรั่งคาบ้านหัวหิน พุ่งเป้าโกรธแค้น-โจรกรรม

วันนี้ (2 เม.ย. ) เจ้าหน้าที่ตำรวจ สภ.หัวหิน ได้รับแจ้งจากเจ้าหน้าที่โรงพยาบาลหัวหิน ว่า มีชาวต่างชาติถูกแทงเสียชีวิต ตรวจสอบพบศพ นายนิโคลัส ฟรานซิส ไนท์ อายุ 64 ปี ชาวอังกฤษ พักอยู่บ้านเช่าเลขที่ 83/18 หมู่บ้านเขาเต่า ต.หนองแก อ.หัวหิน จ.ประจวบ คีรีขันธ์ ถูกแทงด้วยของมีคมเข้าที่ราวนมขวา ตามร่างกายมีบาดแผลถลอกฟกช้ำหลายแห่ง โดยแพทย์ระบุว่า เมื่อช่วงเช้ามืดวันนี้ พลเมืองดีได้นำผู้ตายมาส่งโรงพยาบาล แพทย์นำเข้าห้องไอซียู พยายามยื้อชีวิตอยู่หลายชั่วโมง แต่ไม่รอด

ต่อ มาเจ้าหน้าที่ตำรวจได้ เดินทางไปตรวจสอบที่บ้านพักของผู้ตาย พบว่าภายในบ้านข้าวของถูกรื้อกระจุยกระจาย ที่กลางลานบ้านพบกองเลือด ห่างออกไปเล็กน้อยพบมีดปลายแหลมทำครัวยาวประมาณ 8 นิ้ว ด้ามหักตกอยู่ มีรอยเลือดกระเซ็นเปื้อนตามผนัง และกำแพงบ้าน

จาก การสอบสวนทราบว่า เมื่อช่วงกลางดึกที่ผ่านมา คนร้ายพกมีดปีนเข้าไปในบ้านของผู้ตาย ซึ่งพักอาศัยอยู่เพียงลำพัง แต่ผู้ตายพบเห็นเข้า จึงเกิดการต่อสู้กัน ผู้ตายพลาดท่าถูกแทงจนเสียชีวิตดังกล่าว ส่วนสาเหตุอาจเป็นเรื่องโกรธแค้นกันส่วนตัว หรืออาจบุกเข้ามาหวังโจรกรรม ซึ่งสาเหตุยังไม่ทราบแน่ชัด

สังหารโหดหนุ่มใหญ่ นักท่องเที่ยวเมืองผู้ดี วายร้ายอาศัยช่วงอยู่บ้านพักย่านหัวหินตามลำพังคนเดียว ควงมีดแอบปีนเข้าบ้าน บุกเดี่ยวยามวิกาล จ้วงแทงเข้าใส่ไม่ยั้ง คมมีดเจาะราวนมทะลุปอดดับอนาถ ขณะที่ตร.พุ่งปมขัดแย้งส่วนตัวกับโจรแสบ บุกเข้ามาชิงทรัพย์ แต่ถูกผู้ตายขัดขวาง เลยถูกทำร้ายเสียชีวิตอย่างโหดเหี้ยม

เมื่อเวลา 12.00 น. วันที่ 2 เม.ย. พ.ต.ท.เปรมชัย ทองคำ สารวัตรเวร สภ.หัวหิน จ.ประจวบคีรีขันธ์ รับแจ้งจาก รพ.หัวหินว่า มีชาวต่างชาติถูกทำร้ายบาดเจ็บสาหัสเข้ามารักษาตัวและทนพิษบาดแผลไม่ไหวเสียชีวิตในเวลาต่อมา จึงรายงานให้ พล.ต.ต.รุ่งโรจน์ แสงคร้าม ผบก.ภ.จว.ประจวบคีรีขันธ์ ทราบ แล้วไปตรวจสอบพร้อมด้วย พ.ต.อ.กษณะ แจ่มสว่าง ผกก.สภ.หัวหิน พ.ต.ท.สมศักดิ์ เนื่องอ้น รอง ผกก.(สส.) กำลังชุดสืบสวนและเจ้าหน้าที่วิทยาการ ภ.จว.ประจวบคีรีขันธ์

พบศพนายนิโคลัส ฟรานซิส ไนท์ อายุ 64 ปี นักท่องเที่ยวชาวอังกฤษ สภาพศพมีบาดแผลถูกแทงด้วยของมีคมเข้าที่ราวนมขวาทะลุปอดเป็นแผลฉกรรจ์ 1 แผล และที่แขนขวาอีก 1 แผล จึงนำศพส่งสถาบันนิติเวช สำนักงานตำรวจแห่งชาติ ชันสูตรอย่างละเอียดอีกครั้ง ต่อมาเจ้าหน้าที่ตำรวจวิทยาการ เดินไปตรวจสอบที่เกิดเหตุ พบคราบเลือดอยู่ตามพื้น ที่กระจกประตูบ้านและบริเวณรั้วบ้าน แห้งเกรอะกรังกระจายไปทั่ว นอกจากนี้พบมีดปลายแหลมเปื้อนเลือดยาว 8 นิ้ว สภาพด้ามหักตกอยู่ 1 เล่ม คาดว่าเป็นของคนร้ายจึงเก็บไว้เป็นหลักฐาน

จากการสอบสวนเบื้องต้นทราบว่า ก่อนเกิดเหตุ ช่วงกลางดึกที่ผ่านมา ระหว่างที่ นายนิโคลัส อาศัยอยู่ภายในบ้านพักเลขที่ 83/ 18 ซอยหมู่บ้านเขาเต่า ต.หนองแก อ.หัวหิน จ.ประจวบคีรีขันธ์ ได้มีคนร้ายไม่ทราบจำนวน บุกเข้ามาในบ้านพัก แต่พอดีนายนิโคลัสตื่นมาพบเสียก่อน เลยตรงเข้าขัดขวาง จึงเกิดการต่อสู้กันชุลมุน ก่อนถูกคนร้ายใช้มีดแทงได้รับบาดเจ็บและเสียชีวิตอย่างโหดเหี้ยม ก่อนหลบหนีไป ส่วนสาเหตุคาดว่าเกิดจากขัดแย้งส่วนตัวหรือ คนร้ายแอบเข้ามาลักทรัพย์สิน แต่ถูกผู้ตายขัดขวางจึงทำร้ายจนเสียชีวิต อย่างไรก็ตาม เจ้าหน้าที่จะได้สอบสวนหาสาเหตุที่แน่ชัดอีกครั้ง เพื่อไว้ใช้เป็นแนวทางติดตามคนร้ายมาดำเนินคดีต่อไป.

Tragic news and sincere condolences to his friends and family.

As we all know, there have been quite a few reports recently on break-in's.

Did anyone know him or where he lived? Anyone on the ground know more?

Yes, unfortunate news indeed; I was in Khao Tao today but we didn't see or hear anything of this sad incident.

Sad indeed, and all the more so as again it seems the Thai police and press show NO understanding that farangs treat the dead with respect, and dont plaster "tiger kill trophy" photos of their half naked bodies all over the papers.

A worse example is in the latest copy of Khun Tuk's rag that was distributed round the bars yesterday.....in that photo two of the local police are actually posing next to some poor sods body, and have picked his head up off the table to point it at the cameras....and hes semi naked again.....utter ***** disrespect.

This from a people who expect the rest of us farangs to bend over backwards to save them loosing face.....

makes my blood boil

This is truly so Awful. My most sincere condolences to any friends and family.

The Missus and I were looking at Khao Tao in January - thinking what a nice peaceful place it looked.

It is a very small community - someone will know about this but it always seems to take outside pressure to make the BIB do anything

SM you are right, the Thais love to do that sort of thing, why not just let the poor guy rest in peace, instead of defiling his body like that.

Maybe the PM will have to step in again, to get this murder solved.

Daily News April 4
Hua Hin police said on April 2 the body of Nicholas Francis Knight, a Englishman, aged 64, had been found in a house in sub district Nongkae, Hua Hin.
The victim had been stabbed with a sharp instrument on the right side of his chest, piercing his lung, there was also a wound on his right arm. His body was sent for a postmortem at the National Police Forensic Institute.
Police found dried blood stains on the floor, the glass door of the house and the fence; in addition they found a 8 inch bloodstained knife with a broken handle.
From initial investigations it was learnt that the previous night whilst Nicholas was at home, an unknown number of assailants entered the house, only to be confronted by Nicholas. A scuffle broke out before Nicholas was savagely stabbed to death. The murderer(s) then fled.
Police suspect the motive was either a personal conflict or a burglary gone wrong; when faced by Nicholas, the thief had killed him. Police said further inquiries would be made to discover the exact cause of the murder and consequently find the murderer(s)

That's very true and will apply to everywhere in Thailand. Crime is rising and will do so in all places, would be interesting to get hold of the crime stats in Thailand for the first three months of 2009 and compare to 2008/2007.

this is Thailand and so crime would have fallen. same as the U.K.
