I'm planning a 2 week vacation in Hua Hin. I will be staying at a friends house and have it all to myself
I am 55 but in good shape and "look" 40 I am told. Nice looking etc. Well-beahved, generous and belive ladies (whatever their profession) should be treated well and with respect.
Rather than have a series of one-night stands I would like to mett a lady to socialise with. Beach, walks, dinner, shopping etc. Shopping woulld mainly be things for her 'cause I like the lady I am wining and dining should look good, feel good and have nice things to wear.
Any advice? What would the cost (if any) be for a 2 week spell in my very nice company |

Hi Arcane
welcome to the board.
I'm a little surprised your friend didn't enlighten you.
From the tone of your post, you look like you just want a temporary two-week fling, so... Your best bet is to go to the places in Bintabat, find a girl you like, and stay with her if you like her. You can refer to the nightlife map.
Depending on the bar, you will have to fork out say about three to four hundred baht a day for every day she does not go to work. Then you have to negotiate (with her) for the cost of her daily company, which is usually more than this, and in addition to what you pay to the bar.
The wining, dining and shopping is another seperate issue.
Perhaps someone from the Nightcrawlers can enlighten him further? _________________ วินเชนท์ |

Hmmm, I think the ladies would be very interested in knowing how much you would charge... _________________ Maverick |

Can any further discussions of renumeration or similar, please be confined to pm's? Really this topic shouldn't be here, at all, but as a newbie, I'm aware OP doesn't have access to nc.

Hi Arcane - welcome to Huahinafterdark.
My suggestion for you is to hit the dating online agencies such as www.thailovelinks.com or www.asiafriendfinder.com
Just google 'Thailand' 'online' 'dating' and pay a one-month subscription to one of the many dating sites, which in my opinion, is far more civilised and moral than paying a pimp bar owner for one of his/her girls. Nasty!
That way you can communicate with many girls before you get over here, and if you like someone, and she likes you, you could arrange to meet her etc. without having to resort to picking up a prostitute in a bar which I wouldn't recommend.
Enjoy your adventure. |

Maybe a solution but my experience in life is to go and suss it before committment
Internet contacts are no guarantee and often a disapointment . Play the field and see what you come up with is my advice _________________ Syd--------Shine on you crazy diamond

Thanks |
Hi Dawn
didn't mean to offend, I was only trying to pass on what is common knowledge and is readily accessible elsewhere on the board.
If you click on 'bars' in the HHAD navigation bar below, the text tells you how much the barfine is. (I was over by a hundred baht ) If you then click on the highlighted 'barfine', it goes on to explain in much greater detail than I have.
I was also aware that as a newcomer to the board he would not have had access to the Nightcrawler's posts, but then again some of those posts can be of a rather explicit nature that don't belong anywhere else..

Sorry, VincentD, I certainly wasn't getting at you or the OP. I was just worried how the thread might develop, so that post was just a caution to anyone that might post later to be careful what they said or use pm's. Sorry if you thought it was a criticism of you, as it certainly wasn't! _________________ "The question is not, can they reason? Nor, can they talk? Thanks guys (I assume most of you are guys). I agree with the concept of finding someone before going there and not having to negotiate with a pimp. My friend told me "all the ladies are for free there". I find that a little hard to believe. That's why I thought a second opinion seemed a good idea.
Wish I was there already, it's cold where I am right now.

Hello again, Arcane
To echo Richard, I would advise against making any commitments before you even get here, you could be setting yourself up for a disappointing two weeks or worse.
Internet chat rooms, dating, et al are an electronic form of Russian roulette. Remember WYSIWYG from Lotus 123? (What You See Is What You Get). In this case, it's more of what you DON'T see is what you just may be stuck with.
My advice, since you're coming to Hua Hin, is to come by yourself. Many of the bars are open by the early afternoon, people are nice and friendly and are quite happy to have a chat. If you have the pleasant disposition that you say you have, you should have no problem at all finding someone to accompany you for the duration of your stay. Another advantage of this is that your companion will be familiar with the area, and will be able to show you around.
Another point I wish to make - the girls come to work at the bar of their own accord; the only system in place is the barfine (which has already been discussed) and that there are no pimps involved. The girls also have the say in whether they wish to accompany you or not. So if they decide to go with you, it is their decision, not anyone else's.
So come on over, enjoy the warm weather, sun and sea, good food and pleasant company, and all too soon your two weeks will be over..
Some internet reading for you.. as I assume you've never come to Thailand before. Note the local customs and see the readers contributions.

My advice is to wait until you arrive. Just treat it like any other holiday and enjoy yourself.
You may wish to consider the disco at the Hilton Hotel where the locals party after work..... _________________ Jungleland |

And by locals, read - Mostly BGs who are after a farang!
Only go to the Hilton if you like your pick-up joints over-priced, noisy and sleazy. _________________ http://www.divinglore.com |
