Hi Lev,
Just a thought!
As people frequently need to search the site, two things come to mind:
1. The 'Forum' search could, perhaps, be highlighted to let users know it is available.
2. An adaptation of the site search (google command " site:www.huahinafterdark.com < searchphrase > ") could be made available, as the search on the Forum pages, does not pick up on keywords outside of the Forum structure.
Cheers

I'd like more photos too !!
I'll have a bunch for you Lev after this Jan.. ..
I just visited the Pattaya FLB site, and checked out some of the video clips they have up there. Great stuff, and makes the 29 days left until arrival in LOS seem a bit shorter!! A walking tour of Soi Bintabat similar to the one of Walking Street in Pattaya would be nice, don't know if the technology is available to you Lev. |

Thanks for the feedback.
Pete: The search function built into this board is not bad but yes a lot of people overlook it. Google does have a search facility that can be integrated into the site which I may use. I'm also working on some modifications that will allow the entire forum to be indexed so it will appear in Google when you search there.
Ian: I wish I had the time to spend in the bars snapping away all night! Readers are more than welcome to submit photos - although not of their girlfriends!
G&T: I could run video from this site but it would send my bandwidth through the roof and unless I get some advertisers (not easy in Hua Hin) or look into a way to generate enough revenue to cover the extra cost its not going to happen. The photos page is bad enough! |

Hi Lev,
Yep I agree that the Forum search is fine - just not immediately obvious.
The second point was more to do with an individual looking for information, already on the Forum Pages, searching for, say, "Buxom Bonnie's Guesthouse".
Stuff will come back from the Forum sections, such as "Accommodation" or "Opinion" but no information would be returned if "Buxom Bonnie" had any mention in the "Hua Hin accommodation" section of the main site (HHAD).
Try "London Lounge" and all options. The search returns all sorts of info about London and Lounge and even London Lounge, but only from Forum posts.
Cheers
Peter
Disclaimer
*** I do not know "Buxom Bonnie" - and anyway she is not that Buxom or that Bonnie.
I have never stayed in her "Guesthouse" (either short time or long time) and have never received barfine,
beer or other favours for this post - honest! *** |
