No topic on this interesting league as far as I can see so her goes. I know there at least three supporters on IKTS alone.
Last year I managed to catch the odd match midweek or repeated next day but I cannot remember what channel. Does anybody know?
Big game for Plymouth today. It will sort the scenario for the crucial Christmas period IMHO. Maybe they can get West Ham's loaned striker now bearing in mind that West Ham have accepted relegation and are already selling of their key players to the highest bidders. They are planning a 2009/10 onwards return to the Premiership followed by a move to the Olympic Stadium. _________________

I was going to ask that same question until it became clear to me that Plymouth will be replacing West Ham at the end of the season. By the time I get to Hua Hin, Plymouth will be an established Premiership side.

I think I'd prefer them to serve their full apprenticeship in the Premiership in readiness for Plymouth's arrival in the big time. When Sven replaces 'washed out' Pardew in a few weeks time, they may pick up some useful tips as West Ham battle against the inevitable. _________________ Green Army position 15

Good point but it was the West Ham fans I had in mind for next season. What are they going to watch or who cares really. They could just watch 38 re-runs of the 1966 World Cup. _________________

Off thread, guys & I apologise, but - WL, where did you get that emoticon? The times I could've done with that one! Can't find it, not on the standard ones or the "view more" ones... _________________ "The question is not, can they reason? Nor, can they talk? If the little men were wearing claret shirts, they'd resemble West Ham fans trying to keep themselves amused with half a Mexican wave while their team is underperforming. _________________ Green Army position 15

Hi,
I'm a n Ipswich supporter and we played Plymouth at Home Park on Tuesday night. I'm quite a large shareholder in ITFC and we helped charter a plane so I travelled with the players, directors, etc.
Had a great day, ending up at the match of course. Really hospitable people, had a long chat with your chairman in the boardroom at half time.
Game was pretty good - after our 5-0 win on Saturday we were confident and took the lead in the first couple of minutes. Pretty much for the next 88 we were under the cosh!! Great no. 8 you have.
Anyway, really enjoyable day, nice west country people and great entertainment.
Long day though. Had to take off before 10.30 due to noise restrictions, so we had to tell the players "no shower, straight on the bus". We made it thanks to a police escort to the airport, going down the wrong way on a dual carriageway with a blue light and siren in front of us.
Finally got back to my home in Norwich at 1.30 am, knackered!!

You must be glad you are not a Norwich supporter.

Dawn,
If you want to know where anything came from there are two ways I know.
1. Hold mouse pointer over the object and right click and select either copy location (for later pasting) or proerties which will write the location in a box.
2. Use the forum quote facility to view the pseudocode and you can cut out the location. Then just scrap the quote so as not to post it.
The ones wanderlust uses are created by Mac and supplied with the Apple operating system but will work anywhere. Try this site fo many others.

Here is another one, see you later.

Good news from league one. I have a bet with three other guys, all of us supporting different teams in L1. The teams involved are: Brighton (that's me), Carlisle, Northampton (you may guess this one) and Bristol City. I have a bet of bottle of vodka with each of these others that Brighton will finish higher in the final standings than the others. Brighton have been in good form recently. _________________ 知彼知己, 胜乃不殆; 知天知地, 胜乃可全

There does not seem to be a thread on League 1 so may be you can start one. You may well be talking to yourself for a few months but you will have many Leeds supporters to talk to next season.
As for the Shirters, seems they like the middle ground so that they can swing either way. _________________

Yes a very sad day indeed. This year's home form is almost relegation stuff.
However, Holloway obviously has a cunning plan. He doesn't want to do a Reading or Wigan and start to run away with things too early in the season. That would only make Plymouth the target team that all others want to beat. We're expecting new blood arriving soon (not the West Ham apprentices yet), and the second half of the season should be very interesting.
Only yesterday I saw Soccer AM on SKY Sports showing the new designer shops, recently opened in Plymouth, that are hoping to keep the WAGS happy when their men move to the city.
The rise of Plymouth in the world of football is certainly attracting a lot of media interest. _________________ Green Army position 15
