Forgive my ignorance of all things nuclear - but is this something to do with research that been going on into time travel?

If it is - and just say it works, and we all wake up one day in a parallel universe - where in time would we want to be? Or would we be not here yet anyway? Or been and gone? Would we remember where we were before we went somewhere we didn't know we were going in the first place?

Wish I hadn't read this. Won't sleep now. Might wake up to a Viking invasion Wink

That could be one possible outcome of the research.
One of the big questions in science is something called dark matter.
With the help of the Hadron Collider scientists want to create a miniature "big bangs" to find out more.
