|
|
Have just spent 4 weeks at the ECOSSE guest house. For anyone looking for budget accomodation I can recommend it, I had the cheapest room (315 BT per night when you pay up front) and although it could do with a lick of paint it had AC, fan, double bed, sat TV, free water and coffee/ tea. The room was cleaned daily and the bed/ towels changed every 2 to 3 days. The shared (between 2 rooms) bathroom was always kept very clean although this obviously depends to some extent on the occupants of the other room on that landing.
Location is VG, massage room on 1st floor, bar on ground floor. Martin the owner and Suzie his "manager" are great. Free Internet access on PC in the bar, all rooms wired for Broadband for your own PC at no cost.

The Ecosse Guesthouse is one of the places I was looking at as the base for my condo hunting next December (found it here on this Board). The photos on the website look rather cozy ( don't they all?? ) and the location's fine.
But ... do they have rooms which include private hong nam? There'a a short list of lines in the sand vis-a-vis accomdations which I drew and will not cross. Sharing a bathroom with anyone other than the Love Interest simply ain't gonna happen.

On another tack . . . has Noodles Guesthouse gone kaput?
We stayed there 2 years ago when it was named the Pala-U and it was quite comfortable. It was in fact in the throws of being sold as we bedded down there. The following year we came back and it had morphed into Noodles . . . with a seemingly VERY stessed-out Canadian owner running around like a headless chicken. (Gave it a pass as we were already shacked up at the Hua Hin Suites).
I could have sworn that the newly reincarnated Noodles was on this website's recommendation list of hotels and Guesthouses right up until fairly recently. But not now.
Thus my question (after some long wind) ... is it still a going concern, or 'other' reasons for it not to be on the list anymore?
Interestingly, it's not even on the map now ... I'm sure it also was there recently.
Cheers ... |

Hi folks and thanks again for your recommendation Dave.
Smiles: unfortunately we do not have any en suite rooms but the large room on the top floor has a shower room on the same floor, which is very rarely used by the 2 rooms on the floor below. I know many people do not like sharing bathrooms, I was one of those people until I tried it and found it no problem. We only have 3 rooms in the guesthouse and the maximum number of guests would be 6 sharing 2 shower rooms.
Brewing company: PM me or contact me through this website and i will give you details of rates and any further information you may require.

|
Stayed at THE SHED for one month in September. Now under new management. Has had a well deserved lick of paint but still at very competative price/s.
Suzy is still there , massage lady has gone .
Would recommend.
