We adopted a soi puppy two months ago, and he's been a delightful addition to our family. He's probably four months old now, and everything - I mean EVERYTHING - has to go into his mouth. He's taken to walking with a lead, though, and so I'm thinking of doing some dog obedience training (he's looking like he'll become a moose, so obedience is good). He's probably still a bit young, but I'd like to see what's available. Does anybody know if there's a dog obedience group that meets regularly to do dog training?

I have not heard or seen anything like that here but you can of course do the training yourself. I have done it in the past with my dogs as well as here with my two I have now. I gave up on the Dalmation but the Rottie trained with ease and I can walk her without a lead and if told to do so, she will walk at heel, sit or lie down if told and above all else, she comes when called. I found it worked well doing about fifteen minutes a day when she was a pup and now at age two, I simply enforce it every now and then to make sure she has not forgotten her place.
