|

hello,
I have just been to HH for a quick search for apartments to rent and in the end.. it was such a disappointing search! Only had 2 to choose from! because many condos refuse to accept dogs. Mine is a small size 4kg shih tzu that hardly ever barks!
Anyone knows of a nice condo near town centre that accepts dogs?
thanks! _________________ Dog lover |

Is there a particular reason you want a condo? I only ask because, in my experience, townhouses are cheaper, sometimes have a little "garden" for your dog & can be a lot more understanding about pets.
They may ask for a larger (refundable) deposit to cover any damage, though. _________________ "The question is not, can they reason? Nor, can they talk? But, can they suffer?" - Jeremy Bentham, philosopher, 1748-1832

I prefer apartments as it is smaller and easier to manage. Town house for just 2 of us and a small puppy is abit too big.. do you know of any good real estate agent to liaise with? I heard that people just go to the housing management to ask if there are rentals available. Another factor against us is that many owners like to rent it only for a few months for a higher rental, whereas we are looking to rent it for a year or longer. _________________ Dog lover |

To be truthful, I've never used a real estate agent here. I've always rented direct fom the leasor (sic!?). I'm sure there are some property agents as sponsors on HHAD, maybe try them or pm JW. He might be able to help.
It might also be worth your while trying to rent direct.
You're right, many landlords do charge more short-term for high season, but you can try & balance that out, as you'll still be renting in low season when they would have the place empty. Good luck. _________________ "The question is not, can they reason? Nor, can they talk? But, can they suffer?" - Jeremy Bentham, philosopher, 1748-1832
