| I have a 5 year old daughter who i would like to play with someone near her age for the purpose of her picking up a little english. needless to say your child needs to speak english. I teach school and know that for the young one's this is the quickest way to pick up another language. Friend Larry, we'er both from usa, move to states and his daughter picked up the lingo in no time by playing with US kids. |

My little boy's six. He's Thai, but pretty much bilingual, as he never speaks Thai (only English) at home any more. If your daughter's Thai, he might try speaking Thai to her instead of English, but I could try to insist that she only wants to speak English with him. If you're interested, pm me. _________________ "The question is not, can they reason? Nor, can they talk? But, can they suffer?" - Jeremy Bentham, philosopher, 1748-1832

Your little boy, Dawn and the OP's daughter are both right on the brink of a second language becoming something that has to be learned from books and class. I've read that the age of 6-7 is when the built in bilingual mental computer they're born with shuts down. Pete _________________ "What America needs is a huge hypodermic needle of morality."
