Very true, but there's still the second half to go. Didn't watch the first half, but I'll go and watch the second half now. We, as usually lost our pool league match again tonight. Are you a pool player Joni as there's the World Cup coming up in June?

Happily not!

Barcelona take their rightful place as Champions of both Europe and Spain. It is supposed to be the 'champions' league after all!

Always had a lot of respect for Henry but his tantrum after the match was so childish and disappointing. Confused He can stay at Arsenal as far as I am concerned!

Arsenal did everything right after Lehman was sent off but Rijkard's substitutions were inspired and the best team in Europe was not to be denied its destiny. Razz Very Happy

Bring on the whining - it makes the win all the sweeter! Twisted Evil

F-O-R-C-A B-A-R-C-A!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Cheers Cheers Cheers

When will the English teams learn that it is much easier to beat Barcelona with 11 players on the pitch and not 10.
1st Chelsea and then Arsenal, still good to see that both teams will be back next year for another go.
Cheers Cheers Cheers

My commiserations to all you Arsenal fans. A very brave performance but the best team won, inspired by the king of kings Henrik Larsson!

Sorry - had to support Barca last night with Henke in the team and automatic qualification to next years CL depending on it (for Celtic).

I hope you can hold on to Henry and manage another final go soon.

Henry's whining was particularly disappointing. Maybe the fact that he missed a chance he would bury 99 times out of 100 to go 2-0 up and win the cup was playing heavily on his mind. Whatever his reasons, he can stay in North London as far as I'm concerned. Barca only has room for winners - not whingers! Cheers

The referee was terrible. He spoilt the game. Instead of sending Lehmann off, he should have waited to see if Barcelona were going to score (which they did). He could have allowed the goal to stand and gave Lehmann a booking. Barcelona would then be 1-0 up on merit, with 11 Vs 11 on the pitch. That was the worst decision by far. He blew his whistle too early. A good referee waits to see if advantage is gained. He should have been a good referee to be in the CL final but he was a twally!

The ref must have it in for the English teams, he was the same guy that sent off the Chelsea defender when they played Barcelona.
It would have been good to see what the outcome of both matches would have been if it was 11 against 11
Shoot em up to the Ref Cussing
Cheers

Looking back at the season, it wasn't too bad in the end. Arsenal finished 4th beating the hot splurs to it on the last day and being second in the champions league is not too bad, either. Now that Henry looks set to remain in London, I'm looking forward to next season.

Did you see the photo of the chef that put the Spurs team out with food poisoning before that last game?

Just as relevant, have you seen the new Spurs home kit for next season?
