Funny interviewew with a manc kid fan after the game (apart from the fact he might actually have been local), asked who he would prefer in the final, he said, 'Liverpool, 'cos they'll be easier'.

I suspect that's the view of everyone, so lets hope the Blues perform this evening to make it a worthwhile final!

Cheers

I saw that little kid. Cussing

I doubt thats the view of everyone though, Liverpool are always involved in Fantastic European nights and obviously have a far, far bigger support and lets be honest Chelsea are hardly the great entertainers are they.

Being an all Premier League Final it would be nice to see the Leagues best 3 players taking part.
Ronaldo, Torres and Gerrard. Wink

Its taken five years and £578 million quid but Chelski have made it to the final.
Why oh why is the game being played in Russia?
My mates in Manchester are having problems with Visa,s and are being ripped off by being charged £90,difficulties in finding flights and accommodation.
The pitch is having turf put down as we speak to replace the articial one this could be a right fiasco.

Already have.

As Higgy said, you should be making the Finals after spending £578 million.

I want Chelsea to win because I cant bear smug United fans but want United to win because, as much as I hate them they are a proper football club, not a team of mercenarys. Wink

chelsea just about deserved it last night thumbs up

as for chelsea being mercenaries (i agree by the way!), but what about man ure?
they've spent megabucks over the years but its described as 'building' a team?!?! Shocked
currently, i would argue that their squad cost more than chelskis!

the c/l final venue is decided pre season so thats of no relevance, but the russians must be rubbing their hands that its an all english final Very Happy
current rates for hotel rooms were being quoted as £350 a night Shocked Very Happy .
as roman owns half of moscow, chelski fans may get a decent discount thumbs up

I don't think anybody doubts the cost of the Man Utd squad. The thing that tends to wind people up is the timescale within which Chelski have spent their money.

The Man Utd squad has been built up over a much longer timescale.

really b/b ?
lets not forget all the man ure big money buys that have since departed like stam, veron, van horsehead, forlan, djemba jumbo & kleberson.
i agree that chelski went mental with the cheque book but i do get tired of the manx fans that whinged about how they bought the title, utd have certainly spent big too.
last year they forked out nigh on £80 million for nani, carrick, hargreaves & anderson Shocked

Where do you get yer £80 million from???????
Man Utd transfers in last year were:
Hargreaves - £17 million
Nani - £17 million
Anderson - £18 million
Tevez - 2 year loan deal

Man Utd transfers out:
Rossi,Smith,Heinze,Richardson,Bardsley and Shawcross which brought in £21.4 million.

For your info Carrick was signed not last year but in August 2006.

Add that up and the outlay comes to nearer £30 million which is a darn site less than the majority of EPL clubs.

I say good look to Chelsea as money alone does not guarantee honours just look at Keegans last tenure at Newcastle when he spent £150 million (a massive amount then) and won nowt.
