fall asleep, Yea thats why I go to a pub. to easy to drift off on my couch.
As a Yank with little time invested in watching real "football" I must say that Lpool v Ars last night was probably the best i've ever seen.
Theo Walcots almost end to end dribble and pass to Adebyor was a thing of beauty.
--then the Liv comeback within one minute--- the rifle shot by Torres ,,,
Ars pressing for the tie and then the long lob by Liv defense to Babel and he out ran and out fought the Ars defender for a breakaway. wow. great stuff

Jockey,
Yes it was a great game.
Drowned my sorrows when we did not get a result at Castle Grayskull -as far as I am concened that was the league gone then.
Will be available for drowning of sorrow Thai style with fellow Celts from Saturday evening when I arrive in HH. Means I'll miss back to back Auld Firm games during April
See you soon. _________________ Hail! Hail! |

Good win for United last night to set up a semi final clash with Barcelona.
After the dodgy defensive dispay against Middlesborough it was good to keep a clean sheet, albeit due to De Rossi's dreadful penalty miss.
A bonus for United was the return of Mikael Silvestre and Gary Neville after long term absences.
Also a Champions League Quarter Final and United can afford to leave the likes of Ronaldo,Rooney & Scholes on the bench plus Vidic & Evra not playing.
A few early morning finishes coming up with both the semi-finals !

New Flash New Flash
If it wasnt bad enough for John Arne Riise (Bless Him) after scoring the own goal of the year. On his way home he gets stopped by the old bill driving on the M62. When the police finally pull him up, "they say what the fcuk are you doing John youre heading in the wrong direction"

Barcelona 0 Manchester United 0......a good result for United which would have been even better but for Ronaldo's second minute penalty miss.
In the second half United's attack was non-existent(has Rooney ever had a quieter game) but the defence, particularily Ferdinand,Hargreaves & Evra were superb.
So both semis still have everything to play for,any permutation is still possible for the final.
Maybe Riise will make amends with a 30 yard screamer,in the right net this time,at Stamford Bridge to help set up a Liverpool v United final !
But then again.....

Manchester United 1 Barcelona 0
An absolute screaner from Paul Scholes to win it
Barcelona lots of possession again without looking likely to score.
Messi man of the match but Uniteds back four superb.
United always the more likely to score, particularily Park Ji Sung and Nani in the first half.
Good luck to Chelsea and Liverpool in tomorrows game....an all English final, fantastic for the Premiership.

I never pick a winner because I COULD BE WRONG. but I do have a preference. Scousers back to the USSR.
