Well the unexpected continues!!!
Liverpool came unstuck and from what I heard on the radio travelling back down from Glasgow they are in "crisis" with too many players not performing. No doubt they will come back in the next game.
Chelsea had a brilliant result and it will be interesting to see if they can continue their new found renaissance.
And what for us??????
A great result deserving of the shift we put in, but in the end marred by the unacceptable behaviour of a single imbicile - i gather he has handed himself in to the police, no doubt fearing that one half of Glasgow has placed a bounty on his head.
I trust sense prevails, and hats off to AC for declaring that the result should stand [no doubt influenced by the embarrassment caused by Dida's playacting].
So all to play for for both sets of English and Scottish clubs. _________________ Hail! Hail! |

Liverpool were shocking last night, the worse performance of Rafas reign.
I think crisis is a bit steep though, We'd go 2nd in the league if we win our game in hand, and talking of crisis we play Spurs on sunday. |

For some reason, I like this comment posted on BBC website tonight:
| Quote: |
"If watching Arsenal last night was like making love to a beautiful woman, and watching rangers like losing your virginity, watching both English teams tonight will be like making love with the wife: not overly exciting but you know what you're getting. Expect two victories for the English clubs and another loss for Celtic on their travels in Europe." |

Typical Beeb, wrong again. Chelsea was the only win and the scousers are on self-destruct.
I know nothing of Celtic to entitle me to comment. _________________ I know nothing |

Celtic did lose away to Benfica and only through a single last few minutes goal. It was about 10/1 on for Chelsea to win at home.
I think I will apply for a job at the BBC. I can write better crap than that.
Anyway let's hope that Celtic's slightly easier return matches in the group, that has turned out to be the toughest, produce some points. A 2-0 (in case they draw on points) win against Benfica would be good. _________________

Great wins for Arsenal, Man Utd and a really good performance by Rangers who are now only 1 victory from qualifying (who would have given them any chance at the outset?).
Competent win for Chelsea and another poor showing for Liverpool.
For us it was same old story: found wanting when it really counted and out limited quality showed up once again. I felt really sorry for Artur Boruc for another outstanding game between the sticks. Ah well, we'll just have to win our next 2 games and then take something in Milan! _________________ Hail! Hail! |

Got back from parkhead at 2.30 a.m. after one of the most incredible finishes to a tie in in years. Unfortunately a couple of hours sleep and then onto London finally got home at 7.45 pm last night!
We struggled against Shaktar and were on the back foot after giving away a dreadful goal in only 3 minutes but fought our way back into the game.
Justice was done with the equaliser.
We wanted to win and they came for the draw.
Great to see them flat out at the end.
Well 1 point at the San Siro sees us through, let's hope.

Well we did it - thanks to Benfica.
Dreadful game and performance at the San Siro where Kaka should just what a world class player he is.
Let's hope we get a "good draw" for the last 16.
A few weeks respite should help us in the January transfer window and for the recovery of some key players.
Well done Gordon Strachan. _________________ Hail! Hail! |

Well done Tam, any result is a good result, especially if it gets you through to the last 16.
This one perhaps made up for some of the earlier dropped points, but anyway there are a lot of teams that would like to be in your position.
Just keep away from the mighty blues in the knock out stages

Well done Celtic.
Now I just hope Liverpool can complete the great escape.

Celsea and Baa Baa,many thanks for your congratulations.
I am hoping not to draw an English team in this round, but who knows.
Baa Baa - difficult one for Liverpool but given their recent form an away win is more than possible.
All the best. _________________ Hail! Hail! |
