rockandrollnomad,
I asked a similar question a while ago http://www.huahinafterdark.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=3970 thought this might help. _________________ Green Army position 10 2007/08

From Australia I believe you can take out to the value of $10,000 or more as long as you declare it. Anything less is no problem.
When we transfer more than $10,000 via bank accounts the bank must advise the govt of the transaction.
I was not aware of any restrictions from the Thai end, apart from the new 30% rule. _________________ You only live once. |

| There are no currency restrictions in taking money out of the UK. However for large amounts the Bank at the UK end has to find out the reasons for the Transfer to comply with money laundering regulations. |

| Addition to the last post if you want to hand carry a large amount in cash, the Bank where you draw the cash has to satisfy itself that the large cash withdrawal is for legitamate purposes. |
