carpets are not very good choice in thailand, stick to wooden or tiled floors.
maybe soi 56, has curtain, furnishing shop etc _________________ "Women need a reason to have sex. Men just need a place."

| Rugs would be a compromise. Easy to roll up for cleaning the floors when necessary. Wide choice of colours, patterns and price (in BKK not sure about HH), adds a touch of class. |

| Never seen them or heard of anyone having them unless they want to breed bugs, fleas and cockroaches. Inform her of this and maybe she will go off the idea ! |

All of the above and of course they are also dust traps, regardless of how good a vacuum cleaner is used on them. The other advantage of tiled or wooden floors is that in the hot season they are much cooler. I think the rugs idea is the way to go but there aren't that many places selling them in Hua Hin - Index and Home Pro have some but the choice is quite limited. |

| Index and HomePro have small selections ste. I tried pretty intensive ½ year ago, but didn't find any better. I think it's Bangkok, if you want a decent selection. |

I have carpeting in an older rented condo. It's pretty basic with no pad .. and has stains all over it .. especially near the fridge. I can't for the life of me understand why someone would want carpeting at the beach.
Add allergies to all the other reasons for not liking carpets.
I wonder if there is even a decent carpet cleaning company in HH/CA.
I've yet to go into an office that has been carpeted for more than a couple of years that didn't look terrible because of the stains.
And finally, my computer chair won't roll for ^&%$# on carpeting. |

You might compromise .. carpeting in the bedroom and granite/marble/tile/wood elsewhere .. depends on how "whipped" you are. (running and ducking and looking for a place to hide) |

| Go for area rugs made from natural fibres like sisal or coir. |
