What are the rules with regard to a westerner not married to a thai lady
buying a house in Thailand? I was of the understanding that you could only buy a condo not a house if not married to a national. I have since been informed that this is not correct. Could someone please give me the right ruling.
Also are the condominiums only highrise or do they consider 2x2 dwelling on an estate as a condo?

As far as I'm aware a foreigner can't own land in Thailand, all you get is a long lease.
