|
|
I have been to pasta factory the food there was very disappointing.
Pasta overcooked and sauce bland.
The Italian restaurant pizza place across from the HH police department which has been written about in this forum as being very good might be, but what I saw running out of the front door about 3 years ago has prevented me from ever eating there. I saw a rat the size of a cat coming out of the place.
As far as Robertos pizza on the corner across from the the Japanese restaurant.
I found the food and sauce to be very bland.
The best Italian restaurant I have tried in town so far is Lo Stivale across from the Hilton. Food and service is good.
I have yet to try La grappa but have heard good things about it. |

If the rat was that big, the food must be quite nourishing.
You'd better keep this posting from Dr. Dave, JD and Jaime - they'll be hunting the poor guy down to try a few King Rat steaks . _________________ Green Army position 21

The little critters are every where just coz you do or don’t see them doesn’t mean they aren’t coz they are, so are the roaches mice and ants I think its some thing to do with the hot climate the lack of solid foundations that properties are built on and the bad sewerage systems ...
When you are in a restaurant and the order is below your expected or required standard why eat or pay for what is below your expectations what you do is use the same orifice you put the food in and make verbal comment to the management , im quite sure they would prefer you to leave happy rather than disgruntled..... _________________ "I don't often agree with the RSPCA as i believe it is an animals duty to be on my plate at supper time" |

Well said Dr Dave.
But I also think that we need some words of wisdom from Jaime and his dolphin/squirrel group.
That said, I'm a regulary visitor to Lo Stivale, simply because it's my favourite pasta-food restaurant in Hua Hin. _________________ I intend to live forever -- so far, so good. |

| Prices very reasonable and the food is consistently good. Its no more expensive than anywhere else. I found Mama Mias pizza very good (with or without rat). |

Was the rat an extra charge? |

I don't know about extra charge, but why was THAM worried because it was such a large specimen? Surely, it would have been a scrawny rat that should have given concern - not enough nutrition in the food for the rat to maintain a healthy diet.
Does THAM believe the rat was unique to the Italian restaurant pizza place across from the HH police department? Can I suggest he looks a bit more closely in future. I've been in a few restaurants where I've spotted the rat's bolthole. If you look long enough, you'll often see a snout and whiskers appear. They are only trying to survive, like all of gods creatures. Its just unfortunate that they are carriers of unsociable diseases - don't get me started on unsociable diseases! _________________ Green Army position 21

I understand from Mrs Jaime that city rats are unfit for human consumption but that country rats make good eating, along with macaque, bear, civet cat and a variety of other creatures on the UN endangered species list! _________________ "The man who never made a mistake never did bugger all" - Old Welsh proverb

Actually, she will kill me when she sees that last post! I think deep fried Jaime is a distinct possibility. There should be an emoticon for 'scared'! _________________ "The man who never made a mistake never did bugger all" - Old Welsh proverb

I just don't believe the giant rat story. It was more likey to be Wayne Rooney in disguise entering an Italian establishment trying to pick up some tips on how to play football.
The whiskers must have been stuck on as I don't think Wayne is old enough to grow his own. _________________
