i Never vsist Thai restaurants when in Italy, neither do I vist a English restaurant when in Central Europe.
itailin food is very good, do not misunderstand me, but I would prefer to eat it somewhere at least NEAR italy or a place with stong italian bonds. |

As alreadystated in this thread, the restaurant oposite of the Hilton is said to be good, but not a real good one.
For me that is a reason not to eat there as , i only try to get the best. and a mediocre Italian restaurant by my standards is worse that a mediocre Thai Restaurant.
just MHO. |

Quite good enough for me but then I'm in no way any gourmet feinschmecker.
I eat everything.

Variety is the spice of life. I could never stick wholly to one cuisine where ever I lived (even in Italy). Imagine what it would be like living in England and only eating English food.
As for Thai Italian connections. There has been Italians living all over Thailand for two centuries. They have mostly been reponsible for major building procts like railways and Dams.
Obviously their cusine (some of which originated in the East anyway) has establlished itself here.
Best thing to do is try them all.
Little one (Delize i think ) opposite All in Hua Hin is my favorite. _________________

| I'm not a big fan of Italian food but I have to say the one opposite the Hilton was excellent and the owner Enrico is a nice guy. |

What can I say duan; you're right!
Enrico is a multi language wonder, and his food is savoury.
Good enough for me and my friends here. _________________ I intend to live forever -- so far, so good. |

The one opposite the Hilton, Lo Stivale is the name I think, does great pasta dishes.
Definately my favourite. |

Right you are Burger.
The name Lo Stivale means boot, (after the shape of Italy on maps). _________________ I intend to live forever -- so far, so good. |

| If you are after the best pasta in town, you can't go past the pasta shop in Sra Song Road (opposite All Inn Hua Hin). Not fancy and not really set up as a restrauant. But if you hunger for the real stuff, I suggest you go there. They sell all sorts of delacies, eg cheeeses, meats, pasta. Owner is a lovely Italian who takes pride in the food he prepares. |

As food is only a break between good company and fine drinking I don't think you can go past Lo Stivale. Have been a regular there for the last eight years and have always enjoyed the ambience and the good company that always seems to gravitate there. _________________ If your not cheating your only cheating yourself |

Thanks for the feedback guys.
From my limited dining experiences in Hua Hin, I'd have to agree that Lo Stivale has been the best Italian.
Has nobody tried the Pasta Factory though? I've been there once and would say that based on that occasion it is a close second to Lo Stivale, with wine to match it. _________________ When the drinking is finished, it's time to start drinking... |

Pasta Factory has lovely food, particularly the pasta dishes. I used to go quite a lot when it was opposite the Sofitel. Now, it's a bit way out for me (not having transport). I tend to eat in the centre of HH, where it's easier to go for a drink after!
Nobody has mentioned Mama Mia - I wouldn't say I'm an expert on Italian food, but I like them. And La Villa's pizzas are good! _________________ "The question is not, can they reason? Nor, can they talk? But, can they suffer?" - Jeremy Bentham, philosopher, 1748-1832
