Lots of stuff written about bars, could we have some serious comments about the bars in Hua Hin.
1. Crawfords, air con and no harrasment, draught beers and great food.
2. JW's nicley done, again no harrasment.
3. Lucky Shot for great Pool Table's.
4. El Murphy's for some diff style food, draught beer and pleasant surrounding's.
5. Butterfy Rock, air con draught beers and live music.
Not in order by the way, although Crawfords would have to be N01. _________________ smile and smile till u cry

5. SugarCane, no harrassment, pleasant atmosphere, friendly and enormous selection of music. Pool Competitions and Quiz Nights Good selection of drinks. _________________ Voted the best bar in Hua Hin three years in a row.
Well stocked fridge. Good music, pool, cable and UBC TV. Water features, fish, no hassles no chocolate starfishes. |

Would have to agree with the with the 1st two, also would have to add the Sugar Cane.
Cannot comment on the other two in the list as I have not been into them.
There have been varying reports about the Celtic Bar recently, but in my times there it has always been Ok.
The Mai Thai & Bernies bar also come in well.

Best Bar for 2 years, when did this take place, absolute rubbish. 5 People and its full, worst Pool Table in Hua Hin. If you go to this Bar you will have a drink and go next door to JW's for sure. can only assume that the perason that posted this is the owner drumming up customers, doe's anyone go there? always empty when I m next door. _________________ smile and smile till u cry |

I go there. Can take the kids, no harrassment, music not booming, pleasant staff, nice customers, comfy chairs - easy life! _________________ "The man who never made a mistake never did bugger all" - Old Welsh proverb

I like many bars
Depends on your mood and tastes
If you like Thai music and friendly girls try Flamingo
Great venue _________________ Syd--------Shine on you crazy diamond

OK but the guy is claiming that it has been voted best bar for 2 years, absolute ridiculous.
When it rains water leaks down the walls, it has the worst Pool Table in Hua Hin and you have to watch the bills. When you do play Pool you sweat buckets because no ventilation.
I'll take Crawfords and Butterfly Rock anytime, lovely aircon.
Q. The claim is totally fictitous, would ony get 2 votes, one from the farang owner and one from his wife the cashier. _________________ smile and smile till u cry |

1. Crawfords is good for western food and a touch of the homeland (with A/C)
2. JW is good Laugh / atmosphere with always someone to chat with and no hassel
3. Roadhole used to be good as owner Ya and staff were nice and could just sit down and chill out
4. Le Mar good place to eat good Thai food and look over HH beach
5. The rock music place at corner near the hilton for live music in a A/C joint |

The Shed Guesthouse...not exactly a "bar" ...but the last few owners have been terrific, with great personalities, and a genuine sense of caring for their customers. When I am in Hua Hin, I always begin, and try to end my nights there. All the other bars are great too, as far as I'm concerned, on different nights, under different lights... _________________ Maverick |

I disagree completly with you skandii.
From my point of view it's one of the top bars in Hua Hin, and has been so for the last 3 years.
Good and not so loud music, relaxed atmosphere and nice people running the bar.
I understand your knowledge about pool is next to nothing.
Their pooltable is good enough for everybody.
You write "no ventilation".
Are you blind as well? Don't you see that there is no wall at all out in the street?
It's plenty of air in that bar!!! _________________ I intend to live forever -- so far, so good. |

| Everyone like different types of bars, if we all liked the same almost all the bars would be out of business. |

Its pretty simple, if you don't like a bar don't go in there, going on the internet and commenting on the precipitation retention capacity of its ramparts is bordering on pathetic.
This guy is verging on driving us nuts.
