pfotoguy369 has given me some inspiration to post a couple of pics I took over the weekend in Bangsaphan.

The marine life ones were done while free diving at Koh Talu.

They've turned out well. As I'm blind as a bat and can't hold my breath as long as you, I wasn't able to experience as much. However it was a great few hours out there that day.
And that's not my hand holding the can of Singha. I was on Chang and had probably fallen off the bar bench by then Cheers

Hand? It looks more like a chickens foot!

Strange angle - was Buksida falling off the bench to join you at the time? Wink

Nice photos by the way thumbs up

Certainly can! These were taken at Koh Talu which is a 20 minute boat ride away (350 baht per person).

Bungalows can be had from 250-350 baht per night on the beach at Daeng, Lola's or Montri's.

Great thread and great photos. The first one looks like an acid trip! I think you have promoted this place very well Buksida. I think I'll go there too with my girlfriend! (Is it possible to take a well behaved golden lab?)

Yeah with all the doom, gloom and horror stories on here recently I thought I'd post some uplifting stuff!

Jockey, you'll be fine with the Lab, beach bungalows are plentiful, you may have to enquire at the Coral if you want to stay there - its the only proper resort in the area so they may have rules about pets.

Buksida (or anyone who knows) - My girlfriend and I are planning to travel down to Bang Saphang this weekend with our 3 year old golden Lab (whisky). We are leaving late afternoon on Friday and expect to arrive about 7/8 pm. We haven't booked any accommodation so despite the excellent guide at
http://www.bangsaphanguide.com/ I have some questions:

1. Lolas looks good and looks like a place that would accept a dog. Is that true? If so, should we phone them before we leave? If so, do you have the contact number?

2. Would the Boat Ferry accept our dog on the boat? If not, we could hire a boat privately for 2,000 thb?

Can't give you a definite answer there Jockey as I don't have a dog but I imagine you'll be ok at Lola's, they're pretty basic beach bungalows. I don't have the number so suggest you turn up at Why Not bar and ask there - Bangsaphan pretty much closes down after dark so try to get there late afternoon if possible.

I don't think you'd get away with a dog on a tour boat but maybe able to do it if you charter one, the guy's number is on the BS website, mention where you found it and he may give you a discount.
