The Aussie Rules Grand Final is on this Saturday. This promises to be a great game, featuring the two stand out performers of the year, the Sydney Swans and the Perth-based West Coast Eagles. Goanna's is inviting every-one interested (and how could you not be??) to enjoy the game with us, with live coverage from the Melbourne Cricket Ground - but don't mention the cricket to the Aussies - from 10 am.
BBQ lunch and all the fun of a great day of sport. Come on down and join us for a drink we'll even try to explain some of the rules - like, you can't actually kill your opponent!!
See you there |

I GUESS that's the difficult part for some. Games with complicated rules, and a ball (with points) that you can HANDLE. Too "menny" decisions for some
BTW Guess you missed the kebab man the other night, see you next week. |

Quick explanation of Aussie Rules game.
Is the only game that I can think of that you get a point for missing the goal.
If the ball goes between the two higher posts in the centre you get six points.
If the ball goes between either of the two outside shorter posts (missing the main posts), you only get one point.
That is the important things out of the way
Game is sometimes described as arial ping pong (if you watch the game you will see why)
Do not worry of you do not understand the rules as the parties held all over Australia is the main reason that most people watch the final on the day.
Get down and have a look, you will have a good day even if you do not understand the game.
