Cha-am is now competing with the big boys in Huahin. A new supermarket has just opened on the road as you turn to the beach from the traffic lights, it's on the right hand side about 200 metres past the Pink Flamingo. They've got fresh gammon, corner gammon, Virginia ham, Bunters of Bangkok pies, lamb etc.....Well worth a visit and competative pricing!!
I was in there today and surprised that the cigarette papers were 50% cheaper than anywhere else in Cha-am.
Onlyme.
PS. The shop name is OKEY. Very Happy

There is some truth in that but it is early days yet!

My container just arrived this week with my stuff and Fortuner and that will give me something to do for a while - getting it all through customs will be great fun!

I knew it would be difficult coming back to Ireland but didnt think it would be this difficult. I reckon things will pick up once I start working.

One thing is for sure, if I do go back to THailand I will appreciate more what I have there!!! The grass is always greener on the other side - cause there is so much shite feeding the grass!!!

Still trying to rent out my condo in bkk too!!!!!

His, original pork sausages are "to die for."
I'm hooked on his gammon and the pounds are piling on.
Luckily for me, I do a lot of walking on the golf course!

They've now got: Digestive buscuits, scottish shortbread (various varieties,) pitta bread large and small, floured tortillas, mint sauce, massive tins of baked beans etc..............
BTW. They are now doing half kilo packs of gammon!
Onlyme.
PS. Sit outside whilst the wife shops and drink pint bottles of Archa under an umbrella for the princely sum of 25 baht! Very Happy

D'you know, it's great to have such choice, Onlyme, isn't it? There you are in Cha-am with your little supermarket & that's good for the Cha-amers. But, those of us in HH don't need to travel all that way, because, apart from the many supermarkets & some delis we have here, we also have Hua Hin Ham Bacon & Meat Co on Soi 41, who stock loads of the stuff you mention & lots more. And their gammon is fantastic, I've tried it on many occasions. Mr. Green

As I said, it's great to have such choice, these days, isn't it? Cheers

WOW! I bet there was riots outside the shop, brawls breaking out over the LARGE AND SMALL PITTAS.

I can also see Property prices doubling at least.
