I'm a very happy man to-night.
Why?
Because I've got a new and very - very beutiful kitchen.
For the first time in my life I have got myself a BEAUTIFUL handmade kitchen.
The guy who made it is Boonsong Wunsua from Petchaburi.

I said beautiful, and I mean beautiful.
If any of you want a new kitchen, please pm me for details.

I'm 100% convinced that you can't find a better craftsman in Thailand!!
Expensive?

Cheaper than IKEA!!!

(And no, I don't get a dime in commission).

So when is the first dinner party going to be then? thumbs up

The obvious answer is don't wear any but that that wouldn't cover the anything else would it.

Apologies for being (as a male) the first person to respond to this! My girlfriend (soon to be wife) swears by the hair/beauty salon which is north of the main railway crossing on the left of the road that you turn right onto after 'Gee Antung' supermarket (rather than going straight on towards Hin Lek Fai, and more importantly Bamboo Grove!). Just after that there is also a shop that sells all the household necessities you could ever dream of at the lowest prices in town, as far as I can tell.

For any long-haired pet owners (the pets, not you Embarassed ), just a little further on from the hairdresser WL is talking about is a pet grooming parlour. HHDRC use them for all our longer haired dogs. They do a very good service & are OK in price. No appointment necessary, they keep the pet & call you a few hours later when it's ready. They don't speak English, but, largely due to having to deal with us are very good in sign/body language. thumbs up

Good hairsalon : 'Chic'. At the intersections with lights, turn right (towards the beach) and walk down that road. It'll be on your right side. Pretty hard to miss.

It's only 150 baht for washing, cutting and drying. The staff speaks a bit of English but it doesn't really matter. They'll ask you to pick a hairstyle from a magazine. Nonetheless, they're VERY good. Been there a couple of times and I've been happy everytime.

Italian restaurant at the Marriot = beautiful place with the sea coming right up to the place, very posh / expensive but once a blue moon for couples wouldn’t break the bank.

Mr. Burger 3 = right along canal road and at night the place looks good with water features, food good and cheap enough

German bar (don’t know correct name) as you drive up to the golden Buddha, nice A/C joint, very nice inside, never super busy but probably because its so far out of town but ok if there is a few of you out together

Thanks for the recommendations. Mack111, I've been to Mr Burger 3 once as well, and was really impressed. And I often use Chic salon, Sultry. Some good businesses being recommended here Cheers

A little way out of town on the Petchkasem Road, going towards Index and opposite the Goodyear place is a hair salon called August. I have not used it for a cut, yet, but wash and blow drying is good. They always seem to be busy and at certain times of the day you may have to wait. There is a kind of moat in front of it, and the inside is a series of waterways with Koi carp in them. One goes over walkways to island stations for hair dressing. Upstairs is normal i.e. they don't run the fish up there. Oh, did I mention the pirce? 49 baht. Yes, you read it right. And if you purchase a member 'card' it works out at 39 baht. Other treatments are equally low priced. Give it a try.

I've nearly fallen in with the fishes on many an occasion.
Not a bad place and not a bad haircut.
