Have you checked on the internet? There is a Thailand German Sheppard club and as far as I know, there are some top class breeders around. Just take care because rumour has it that there are also horrid puppy farms.
I've been very lucky myself with the dogs I've bought in Thailand. My Dalmations was bough from a market in Bangkok but just from an old husband and wife who could not afford to keep her and she is fantastic. She's certainly a bit daft at times with a weird sense of humour but a great dog. My Rottie I got from Hua-Hin market and although I have heard bad stories about the pups being sold there, she has turned out to be the most wonderful dog you could imagine. Soft natured and well balanced. Shes also a great guarddog and best of all, she's like a second Mum to my little daighter who uses her as a big pillow and toy. The only problem I've had with her was mange when she was a puppy but living next door to Dawn (HHDRC) I was quickly informed and she was treated with 100% success.
My advice would be to seek out a good breeder though, just in case.

Good advice. Never realised who you were Takiap! Family (& dogs) doing well?
Try the pet shop at the corner of Petchkasem & Soi 47. They don't sell animals, only supplies, but the wife speaks good English & seems to know a lot of the breeders & kennel clubs in the area. HHDRC buys all our food from there & she's quite a knowledgaeble person, so I'm sure she'd only recommend decent breeders. Other than that the vet we use on Soi 55/1 (Pet Hospital) know quite a few of the breeders too & I'd trust their recommendation 100%. _________________ "The question is not, can they reason? Check with Eddie Gibson at UK Kennels Pattaya.
Eddie was a British army dog trainer for many years and has been breeding and training dogs in Thailand for over 10 years (he also trains them for the Royal Thai Police).
He's a very knowledgeable man when it comes to dogs, in general, and Shepherds, in particular.
I bought 2 dogs from him 5 years ago and, although one of them was killed by a car not long afterwards, I still have the other one. She has always been in perfect health and has a beautiful, calm nature.
Eddie's phone details from his website are as follows: 038-709379 081-2998184 081-2943407
His website is www.ukkennelspattaya.com |

Hi Dawn
Yes family is doing fine and we have another little one on the way. I must be a late starter (lol)
We,ve just taken on two strays that a builder dumped so just as well we're not at our old place or else we could have had the same threats as you and your Mom had. The two are really nothing to look at but hell, we can't watch them starve and oh well they just sort of invited themselves along. I think they're still a bit young but we're going to get the vet in to check them and if they're old enough then they're both getting the snip and their shots.
Hope all is well with you and your Mom and I agree the vet you mention is really tops.
Cheers
