I know there was a thread about this restaurant but it eventually went rather off topic.
At the time the thread was current, I hadn't been to All in Hua Hin for a while, though I had been a regular before.
This had nothing to do with the quality of service or food I experienced, I simply live 25 km out of town.
Anyway, I've been there around 3 times in the last couple of weeks, twice with the family.
The last time was yesterday evening and both the service and food were excellent.
We ordered 2 main courses and a salad and were asked if we wanted the salad first or everything to be served at the same time - not necessarily a given in these parts, so the waitress was thinking!
There were people at 6 tables, so they were reasonably busy.
We didn't have to wait very long and the 3 meals arrived together,
We all enjoyed our food very much.
I spoke to a group of English people at the next table and they also said they enjoyed their meal.
I also noted that the table cloths were new.
I have no vested interest in the restaurant - I'd previously just been a satisfied customer.
In my humble opinion, the food there is very good value for money and we couldn't find any fault with the meal or the service.
The purpose of this post is merely to provide some sort of balance to the vilification that occurred here last month.
We would certainly have no qualms about going back.
Mind you, I didn't order anything with olives _________________ Barry Stone

Nice to hear some good news about this resturant as I also use to go on a regular basis.
Pleased that the table cloths are new, they were getting a bit tatty.
I will definately be going again

CONGRATULATIONS to AIHH for taking note of customer dissatisfaction AND DOING SOMETHING ABOUT IT-even down to the table cloths. It is rare to see that. Most circle their wagons and deny any faults; ie, it was a one off night , the kitchen was hot, too many different meals were ordered, this is a 3rd world country, what do you expect.
The above post proves, imo, the value of this forum. The management of AIHH could not have been oblivious to the criticisms of their service and food preparation. If they personally don't frequent HHAD, I'm sure some friend alerted them to the uncomplimentary discussion of their establishment. They took heed, made changes, and are now reaping the benefits of postive reports.
Again CONGRATULATIONS TO AIHH. AND congratulations to the posters on HHAD who made this improvement possible. It's a reminded that negativity and criticism can have positive results.
Did you ever have a black olive in a martini?

i think most of the credit should go your way simon
its obvious that the management read or were relayed the messages from on here and undertook dramatic changes to their quality of food, service
they also drove up to siam paragon in bangers and purchased some posh table cloths
if we keep this up we can change them all
yes we can, yes we can

Glad you can see the light, Joe. Positve negativism, that's the way.
"Yes, we can, Yes we can." Love your new avatar, BTW. Your subtle implication. to you, Joe. Glad to see you're Khun Positive.
Now we have to translate this over to the building trades and soon. . . Paradise City!!!

| I too have enjoyed All in Hua Hin in recent months. . . good food, reaspnable prices, friendly staff. . . frankly never did understand what the prior complaints were about, but perhaps they've changed a lot several months back. |

have read the post for several montha about aihh, so I drove by daily, never seen more than 2 people in there, seems the damage is done.
I also was a regular there, but had bad service over 12 months ago, and bad food, never went back again
I now go opposite in the cathy wholesellers restaurant, (has decking and umbrellas outside) cheap beer, great thai and farang food at great prices and AC, very clean inside.
just what we need in hua hin.

Well done Barry for trying the place despite the earlier 'constructive criticism'. As HHSimon says, lets hope the comments were noted - and maybe it was just a temporary glitch. I never had a problem there - even with the olives!
As for the serving salads before mains etc. It IS a common problem, and nice to hear that AIHH staff are doing things right (or at least the farang way.) What bugs me more is getting the garlic bread before the steak or grill, and sitting there like a lemon waiting to no avail. Not that its happened at AIHH, but it used to be common practice at eateries at the Night Bazaar. _________________ 'If'n ya cain't say nuth'n nice, don't say nuth'n at all' Thumper. |

| Went to Cool Relax over the road from AIHH. For Ambiance, cleanliness, menu choices, pleasant service and food Cool Relax (IMO) is far superior. Prices are about the same. Its a no-brainer. |

You got it right with the 'IMO', not with the 'no brainer', Jockey. It's your opinion versus another opinion. It does not make one person more intelligent than the other for making their choice (as implied by 'no brainer').
I've never tried Cool Relax, but as I've always been more than satisfied with 'All in Hua Hin', I feel no need to change when I'm in that locale & want that type of food.
Different opinions. Fairy nuff. _________________ "The question is not, can they reason? Nor, can they talk? But, can they suffer?" - Jeremy Bentham, philosopher, 1748-1832

I'm sure the location of these places must be posted somewhere, but I can't find it. Can somebody please tell me where they are? _________________ Green Army position 5=

In the road behind the old shopping mall, BB. As a tourist you may be surprised at how unremarkable they look - I was!
It did make me wonder what all the fuss was about? _________________ I know nothing |

If anyone is in that area and they like good cheap local food there is an open fronted place on the same side as All In and a few doors north which is worth a try. I don’t know what it’s called but it has one of those concrete tables out in the street.
They even have Tom Yam Gop (frog) which is something you don’t see everywhere in Hua Hin. |
