Dear All,

Everything is now in place for the funeral to go ahead, a reception mass will be held on Wednesday 7.30pm and the Funeral service Thursday 10.30am at Sacred Heart Church, Ashcroft Road, Stopsley, Luton. We have requested only family flowers and any donations will be given to the motortrade charity BEN.

Being back with our familiy and friends here it seems surreal, he's gone but so much part of our lives. The service has been arranged by his family as a celebration of Joe's life who I am humbled to be with at this time considering their loss of another brother and son last year. Their strength and courage are amazing.

The local authorities in Hua Hin have an investigation open and the authorities in the UK will open an enquiry, at this time stories and suspicions are upsetting and only the facts give comfort. At some point we all have to rely on authorities to do the right thing, statistically should this have occured in the UK the driver could still have 'got away' but it is still early days.

Let us remember some stories of Joe so I can give our daughters the legacy of who he was.

Mum & I didn't know Joe well, but one of the first things he & Wendy did when taking over the track was phone us to donate an unwanted mannequin - she's still wearing the latest charity shop fashions today.
More recently, we took Farook (my son) to David & Sopa's wedding at the track. Joe & Wendy were absolutely wonderful with Farook who had recently lost his father, letting him have as many escorted rides as he wanted & making a real fuss of him. That Hannah & Rachel are now in the same situation as Farook is so incredibly sad. Wendy & the girls and all of Hua Hin have lost a very kind & caring man. Our thoughts are with Joe's family

I never even met Joe, or any of his family, but I find myself reading this thread every day now, and each time I literally start crying. It is such a sad thing that happened so quickly, for sure totally unnecessary, but which will affect so many peoples lives for so long. It's one of those things that hardly make the papers but still have absolutely devastating consequences.

Wendy, Hannah and Rachel - I haven't met any of you yet, but I think of you every day. Many times. I wish you strength.

I have just attended the funeral for Joe, which was a celebration of his life and one of the most moving events I have ever been to, it was an extremely humbling experience.

The church was full to capacity and it was obvious that Joe was deeply loved and admired by not only his family but everyone he knew. Joe lived life to the full and brought happiness to everyone he came into contact with, this was obvious to me and I think the world will be a worse place without him.

I spoke briefly to Wendy and she seems to be bearing up remarkably well, as are the girls. She will need everyone's support in the coming months, and I know she will not need to ask.

Hello everyone,
We arrived back to Hua Hin on Thursday night, personally my emotions are all over the place, I didnt know what to expect. We are taking private time over the weekend and plan to take the reigns with things next week and I shall post a memorial date as I know some of you are waiting to know due to the calls I have had. I truly appreciate everyones support, the cards and flowers we have received. A huge thank you for good friends Neil, Karen and Benni, for overseeing the track, the staff have been tremendous.

Its a real shame that Joe wasnt here to see Jensen win his first Grand Prix on Sunday. He would have been well happy. The phone would have rang for sure, "Hey boy, we havin a beer or what?"

I think it's located along Phetkasem Rd. opposite the Marriott Resort.
Between Soi 88 and Soi 94.

Just a short note to say we are thinking of you today, on Joe's 42nd birthday and his memorial service in Thailand. Hope Wendy and the girls are OK, you are always in our thoughts x

It has taken me over a week to find the words to express Joe's memorial service on the 7th September, even now I find it hard.

On behalf of myself and Joe's family, thank you to everyone who came to the Church. Rachel was so proud that so many friends were there for her daddy. Father Prasert held a lovely service with a beautiful contribution relating to the love everyone had for Joe. The Choir were amazing in my opinion and lifted the service. The personal words from Vaughan Pope and Steve Zwarts touched me deeply and I think many others as well, only yesterday, I overheard someone talking about their speeches.

Afterwards we joined many people for a celebration of Joes life at Crawfords, a huge thank you to Ken for providing the venue and staff, a huge thank you to Johnnie Walker for providing the 'liquid' and to David & Sopa Cunningham for the delicious food, so many people commented on the Scotch Eggs! It was my first time to meet most of you since the accident and everyone was so supportive, it was easier than I thought it would be.

With the help of an artistic friend I provided a display of some photos of Joe pior to our Thailand adventure as I wanted to share more of him with you. I feel so honoured to have been part of Joe's life and am so happy that you all got to share some of the great man as well.

THANK YOU.

I met Joe a few times when I visited Hua Hin and went to his kart track. It's unfortunate that this tragedy happened and I'd like to offer my condolences to his family and friends.
