There will be a Golf Tournament at The Imperial Lake View Hotel & Golf Club and in the evening a Buffet Dinner at The Dusit Resort & Polo Club where we will be raising money for the Charity Fund.

Hua Hin Golf Society is looking to collect as many prizes for both the raffle and for selected golf awards. The money raised from this event will be going to local charities. Last year we raised 340,000.- Baht which went towards the following: La Moh School. We supplied a tiled floor, new wall tiles and toilets, cabinets, fans and uniforms for the 86 students. Our most recent projects are an orphanage in Pranburi, Mercy House, Khao Noi, Pranburi. We have given financial support to the tune of 370,000 baht to build an outbuilding which is to be used in training their children for bike repairs, sewing skills and computer skills etc, this is now complete. Another project is a school near to Hua Hin, Bangkokchaing Pattana, this is a small school opened in 1979 and has little or no support from the government, they required a toilet block for their children, this work is also complete now. This year we hope to raise even more money with your kind support.

All Proceeds to Local Charities

CHARITY WORK

We welcome donations to the Hua Hin Golf Society Charity Fund all year round, but our main fund raising project happens just before Christmas each year. Last Christmas was our seventh year. A golf tournament is played during the day and a Gala Dinner is arranged in the evening. We ask local businesses for their support to supply gifts for prizes and for the evening’s raffle. Last year alone we raised over 340,000 Baht.
Past projects which we have funded from the Charity Fund include: A special needs school in Petchaburi which we supported for three years buying equipment for their use. Walai School, Nong Plub, Hua Hin, We supplied mosquito netting, ceiling fans, plastic mats and a megaphone, we also built a toilet block for the kindergarten children. On another occasion we supplied TV’s for the classrooms plus a computer with printer. Kaopitak School, Hua Hin. We supplied a water tank to their building so as they did not have to purchase water for the children to wash with and use in the toilets. Bangwangboad School, (Pala U Road, Hua Hin. We supplied insect screens, fans, floor covering, redecorated classrooms and we also subsidized them each month for a year for additional food at lunchtimes. We also gave them funds in order that they could build a “canteen”. Tsunami Disaster. We funded to the amount of 150,000 Baht towards the rebuilding of school buildings in the Phuket area. We have received a donation of 92,500 baht to go towards the Mercy House project, thank you very much.

Great choice of charity causes. Good to see the money raised is going to human causes and in particular children - good luck and well done.
